Search Tips
Make your search simple
The best search results are normally achieved by using simple search strings
with just one or two words, for example 'blue LED'. The more complex the search
string, the less chance you have of finding what you are looking for.
Search is case insensitive
Our search facility does not require you to match case, for example, the
following will all yield the same results: 'LED'; 'led' and 'Led'.
Search will match all words
Our search will only return results that match all words you enter in your
search string. The more words you use, the more your search will be refined. However,
be careful not to over-refine and lose the opportunity to find what you're looking
for.
Avoid punctuation
Avoid punctuation in your search string. This will most likely eliminate
any possibility of finding what you're looking for.
Avoid common words
Words such as 'a', 'the' and even 'light' are too common to be useful when
searching our site. Try to use words that describe characteristics of the item you
want, such as 'LED' or 'blue'.
